Diablo Area Council (DAC)

The Diablo Area Council is an organization composed of delegates representing co-operative preschools in cities within the Diablo Area.  The Council’s objectives are to bring about mutual assistance to it’s members, to encourage growth in parent participation education and to maintain liaison with organizations, agencies and legislative bodies working in the field of health, education and welfare. The Council provides services to achieve these goals and utilizes the representatives from each school to carry out all necessary tasks to provide the best possible services to member schools.  Each school sends a delegate to monthly DAC meetings. 

As council members, the schools are also members of the California Council of Parent Participation Nursery Schools (CCPPNS).  CCPPNS is a state-wide community of parents and educators committed to teaching and inspiring families through parent involvement and mutual support. Parent participation schools and preschools are founded on the principle that the best education will result from an active partnership among parents, teachers, and children.  Creative Play Center is also a member of Parent Cooperative Preschools International (PCPI).
