4th Of July Celebration


Bring the family and join us in a Creative Play tradition as we march in the annual Pleasant Hill and Martinez 4th if July Parades!

Reminder: There will be a decorating party at CPC on July 3rd from 5-7pm where you can jazz up your wagon, scooters, bikes, etc. There will also be CPC t-shirts to purchase as well.


Martinez Parade with Ms. Jayni

Position - Parade Number is Section E, Position #51

Check in: 9:15am

Assembly Area:  Parade participants will be staged on Court St. between Escobar St. and Ward St.

Start Time:  The parade begins at 10:00am sharp

Route: It will move (West) down Main St. to Alhambra Ave.

The review stand will be located on your left at the Main Street Plaza, 600 block of Main St. (near Starbucks).

At Alhambra Ave., you MUST MAKE A RIGHT TURN on to Alhambra Ave. NO Exceptions. Vehicles can then turn right on Escobar St. to leave the area. Please move out of the area safely and quickly as possible to avoid backups at the end of the parade.

This is a forward moving parade no stopping to perform except at the review stand - please keep a slow, safe and steady pace with no stopping along the route. You are allowed hand out candy/flyers to audience - however, for everyone's safety, there is NO throwing candy or any other objects allowed. There are parade marshals are stationed along the route and will indicate if you need to increase or decrease your pace to keep a good distance between groups. Please do not get too close or too far away from the group in front of you.

You are welcome to come back to the Plaza behind the announcers stage after the parade where the parade awards will be announced within 20-30 minutes after the parade has ended.

Pleasant Hill Parade with Ms. Danielle

Position: #28 in Division #2

Check in: 8:20-8:40AM  

Assembly Area: The parade assembly area will be on Woodsworth Lane and all entries must enter the assembly area from Contra Costa Blvd. In order to enter the assembly area, you will need travel in the southbound direction down Contra Costa Blvd. and turn right onto Woodsworth Lane. Please note that the entrance to the assembly area on Woodsworth Lane has been changed this year due to the change in the parade route Click HERE for a map of the assembly area and this year’s parade route.

Start Time:  9:30AM.

Route: The parade begins at the corner of Gregory Lane and Woodsworth Lane, and will proceed in the southbound direction down Cleaveland Rd. and then turning left onto Trelany Rd. heading toward Gregory Lane. To achieve this timely step-off, we line up all the entries into the proper order in the assembly area prior to the parade start. Street Closures: Starting at 7:30 a.m. portions of Gregory Lane, Woodsworth Lane, Crescent Drive, Crescent Plaza and Boyd will be closed. Therefore, please view the MAP to find the route that works best for you (as well as any other vehicles that will be joining you). Remember, the only approach to the assembly area is from SOUTHBOUND CONTRA COSTA BLVD.
