4th of July Parade - Martinez

Bring the whole family and join our CPC community for some patriotic festivities in this year's downtown Martinez 4th of July Parade.

Below you will find the information about our participation...

Ms. Kris will be the Creative Play point person for this event and will take care of the official check in for our group. Please find her in the staging area. Our participants traditionally wear red Creative Play T-shits - available for sale at the decorating party on Monday - so keep an eye out for a group in red. Our group will also display a banner, so look for that.

Our section and parade line up # is B20.

Parade participants will be staged at Main & Court St., beginning at 9:15am. Please park on or near Court St. There are city volunteers on-hand to help guide you. Please check with one of them if you have any questions about where you are supposed to line up, etc.

Parade begins at 10:00am sharp and moves (West) down Main St. to Alhambra Ave. The review stand will be located on your left at the Main Street Plaza, 600 block of Main St. (near Starbucks).

At Alhambra Ave., you must make a right turn. Vehicles can then turn right or left on Escobar St. to leave the area. Please move out of the area safely and quickly as possible to avoid back ups. This is a forward moving parade - please keep a slow, safe and steady pace with no stopping along the route. You are allowed to hand out candy/flyer's to audience - however, for safety reasons, there is NO throwing candy or any other objects allowed. To keep the parade moving forward and for the safety of you and others, parade marshals are stationed along the route and are equipped with radios to relay information as needed.

You are welcome to come back to the Announcers Stand after the parade where the parade awards will be announced within 15-20 minutes after the parade has ended.

Happy 4th!
